Welcome to the Feddinch Medical Practice website. Our practice is located within the new Community Hospital in Largo Road. With more than 9,000 patients, it is one of three serving the St Andrews community, and last year was awarded the RCGP Quality Practice Award for the second time. We run regular clinics including a Maternity clinic and a Well Baby clinic. Click here to find a clinic for you.
Results
Results of all tests are available from noon to 12.45 pm, when one of the practice nurses will take your call. More detailed advice can usually be obtained by making an appointment with the nurse.
Between 3.00pm and 5.00pm our reception staff can also relay results, but may ask you to call back later if it is not a normal result. For all results, call 01334 465635.
Are you a student?
Have you registered with a doctor? If your surname begins with a letter between A and God, then you can register as a patient at our practice (for surnames Goe to M, call Blackfriars on 477477, and for N to Z, call Strathcairn on 473441). You never know when you might need a doctor!
Are you a Carer?
Are you a carer? If so, we want to hear from you. Please give us your details (name and contact tel nos) along with the details of the person for whom you care (name, tel no. and address). This information will not be shared with any other patients other than those directly involved in providing care to our patients.
Surgery Hours
Monday - Friday 8:30-6:00. An additional evening session from 6:00-8:15 takes place one evening per week. Call 01334 476840 to book an appointment. Find out more about booking an appointment
Incoming call barring
Will those patients who have telephones which barr incoming calls please note that we are now unable to access a mechanism for returning any requests you give us for return calls. Please advise us at the time of making a request an alternative contact, such as a mobile number.
Extended Hours
The practice opens one evening per week from 6.00 to 8.15. Please note that any appointments made for such sessions are intended for those unable to visit the surgery during the day. Note, too, that the session is purely an appointment based facility - i.e., there will be no repeat prescription service and the duty receptionist will only be able to check you in on arrival.
Swine Flu Latest
The Practice is being constantly updated by the Health Board about the situation regarding Swine Flu in the UK. Preparations for a possible pandemic are well advanced and the Practice has provisional plans in the event of an influenza pandemic. We are now able to offer vaccination to those in the nationally identified priority groups. We will be writing to all those who are eligible and asking you to contact the surgery for an appointment or to let us know if you do not wish to take this up.
